About Sukhi Bains
Sukhi Bains, currently serving as the Practice Manager at Bains Orthodontics, possesses a diverse background encompassing both legal and professional experiences. Her legal career commenced at the Law Office of George M. Sanders, where she specialized in complex federal antitrust matters and competitive practices within the healthcare industry. Sukhi holds a B.S. in Business Management from Wayne State University, where she concurrently managed residential properties across Michigan while pursuing her studies full-time.
Furthermore, Sukhi is a first-generation Indian-American, fluent in both Punjabi and Hindi. Her parents immigrated to the United States in the early 1990s, settling in Michigan and successfully establishing their own businesses.
Apart from her professional pursuits, Sukhi finds joy in traveling, exploring new cuisines through cooking and cherishing precious moments with her family, especially her one-year-old son, Hari.
Sukhi's Background & Experience
After completing her undergraduate education, Sukhi pursued her legal studies at DePaul University College of Law, where she received the prestigious DePaul Law Merit Scholarship. During her time in law school, she demonstrated a strong commitment to public service by volunteering at the Domestic Violence Court House, helping self-represented individuals secure Emergency Orders of Protection. Sukhi was granted temporary licensure to practice law under the Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 and contributed her legal expertise to the Legal Clinic at DePaul University College of Law, achieving favorable outcomes for clients across various legal matters. Her pro bono work earned her the Dean’s Certificate of Service and the Chancellor’s Award for Service. In addition to her other achievements, Sukhi worked at the law firm of Costello, McMahon, Gilbreth & Murphy for over 2 years as a personal injury and medical malpractice attorney. Currently, she is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Texas and working towards her Michigan licensure!
